Gearing towards Zero Waste: 5-days Zero Waste Challenge (Parental Involvement)

During the mid-term break, we participated in a 5-days Zero Waste Challenge together with our family members! Each of us were given a pledge card to complete within five days. These were our tasks:

1. Say “No!” to straws

2. Bring a reusable bag

3. Bring a reusable water bottle

4. Turn off the tap when not in use

5. Recycle an item

We had so much fun during this challenge. The best part for some of us was walking around the neighbourhood to look for the nearest recycling bin! Now, we all know how a recycling bin looks like!

Even though the challenge only lasted for five days, our teachers reminded us that we should try our best to make it a habit. We should always remind our family members and friends about the importance of reducing waste.
