It’s the annual Easter Day Celebration @ Appleland Montessori! Easter is a very special holiday that many people around the world celebrate. It’s a day that comes in the spring and is all about new life, hope, and joy! For Christians, it’s the day they believe Jesus came back to life after he died, which is called the resurrection. That’s why Easter is such a happy day! Children were decked in their best party wear/dresses as they arrived in school in the morning. Prior to the celebration, the teachers have also put up cute easter decorations around the centre and invited the children to make their own Easter basket to put their sweet treats given by the school.

[3]For the first activity, the children were gathered at the activity area while the teachers explained to them about the story of Easter Day e.g. what do we see during Easter celebration/ why do we celebrate Easter Day etc…
[4] Moving on, the children then moved on to their respective classes to participate in the class activity – Colouring/ decorating their Easter Bunny poster. The teachers also conducted a mini egg hunt in the class as it was raining outside.
[5]In conclusion, the children had enjoyed themselves very much during the activity. Through these activities, they have also shown good understanding on what is Easter Day. Look at the smiles on each of their faces as they bring home their very own Easter Day basket filled with treats! 😊
