Great job Nursery! Mission accomplished! You made the day joyful and fun for the elders at Pacific Activity Centre.
Last 15th August 2018 Wednesday, children invited their parents to join them in celebrating SSBD finale and National Day with the elders at Pacific Activity Centre. They had a parade with their parents before they went to the venue.
Children started the program with warm-up exercise with the tune of “We are Singapore”. Then, they played some puzzles related with Singapore’s famous food, landmark and national symbols together with their parents and elders. It was seen that the parents, children and elders were really engaged with the activity and they helped each other to complete the task.
Elders also prepared an activity for the children and parents. They were engaged in hotdog and grapes skewers. Moreover, children and parents brought delicious food for the potluck. All the elders were happy to the simple food that they received.
Before the children end the program, they gave the hand made and personalized flowers to the elders to show their gratitude and appreciation to them.
We are hoping that the children who participated in this SSDB project will bring and apply all their learning experiences in the future. Now, they learnt how to show kindness not only to the elders but also to the people around them including their parents, teachers and community.
