Learn from Our Past, Dream of Our Future - Our K1 and K2 students went on a trip to Fort Canning to attend The Bicentennial Experience in July and August 2019 respectively.
At Fort Canning, the children had a multimedia sensory experience as they witness the key moments in Singapore’s transformation over the years. The children were fascinated with the reverse rain as they were ‘brought to the past’.
They also got excited when they experienced the ‘rain’ that fell on Singapore’s first National Day Parade.
Children boarded a ‘ship’ and embarked upon a cinematic voyage of sorts, witnessing dramatic historical moments.
They cheered for the success of Singaporeans as the screens showed famous athletes from Singapore.
The Bicentennial Experience was a great opportunity for children to discover the historical facts of Singapore which in turn develop their sense of self-identity as Singaporeans.
