Date of activity: 19th June 2025
We brought our learning outdoors with a meaningful beach clean-up at East Coast Park. The children worked together to collect litter along the shore, and they were surprised by how much trash they found. This hands-on experience helped them understand why taking care of the environment matters, and how even small actions can make a big difference.
Through this activity, the children learned to be more aware of their surroundings and to act responsibly in caring for the earth. They also shared their thoughts on how animals and plants are affected when trash is left behind, showing growing empathy and understanding.
After the clean-up, we welcomed our elderly friends to join us for some fun outdoor games.
The children and elderly enjoyed simple activities that encouraged movement, cooperation, and lots of happy conversation. It was a lovely time of connection, where both generations enjoyed being together in nature.
