“Watching our Kangkong plants bloom”

The children have planted the kangkong seeds and nurtured the plants until the the kangkong have become tall and healthy.

Day by day, rain or shine, they watered the plants and ensured that they were healthy and free from pests and weeds.

This took teamwork and cooperation from children from all levels, from Nursery children to Kindergarteners, working together to nurture the plants.

They took turns to water the plants and observed the growth of the leaves and stem.

The Kangkong plants have absorbed the sun, water, nutrients, and the tender loving care that the children have showered on them.

Exposing the kids to gardening have also given them the opportunity to connect with nature in spite of the challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic has placed on their young minds. They are eagerly awaiting for the plants to be ready for harvest.
