Our title for this year’s SSDB project is “Champions”. The launch was celebrated during our Earth Day Fun Run @Bedok Reservoir Park last 24 April 2019.
We will be collaborating with SPD @Tampines (Serving People with Disabilities) and the best way to launch it is to show appreciation for the Earth that we live in and the creatures living in it.
170 participants ( parents,children, teachers) were able to show appreciation for their strong bodies by finishing 1km-4km run at the Reservoir. The purpose of the activity is to make the children understand that some children have disabilities and limitations and they need people to encourage and support them.
We believe that we cannot help them if we do not know how to appreciate ourselves.Therefore,during the launch day we have prepared our minds and bodies for a challenge:
” To be champions to appreciate and accept differences. We want to invite children at SPD during our fun events,as much as possible to make them feel that they are part of our family”
