As the start of our SSDB project, we organized a heartwarming food donation drive benefiting the elderly residents of the Woodlands Care Home. It was an incredible display of generosity, with both our students and their parents contributing a substantial amount of food to support this noble cause.
Building on our commitment to making a positive impact, we extended our partnership with Woodlands Care Home. This time, we orchestrated an engaging and memorable event that fostered intergenerational connections during our Racial Harmony Day celebration. Our children and the elderly residents came together virtually for a morning filled with activities, laughter, and companionship. We started with an easy exercise session that had everyone moving and energized. Laughter filled the air as we played classic games like charades, bringing generations closer through shared moments of joy. Music also played a central role as we sang and danced to the timeless tune ‘Top of the World’, which was a surprise from the children

The heartwarming smiles and laughter shared between the children and the elderly were truly heart-touching. Through these experiences, our children not only had a great time but also learned valuable life lessons. They discovered the importance of showing compassion and care to the elderly members of our community and gained a deeper understanding of the significance of giving back. This project has not only made a positive impact on the lives of the elderly residents but has also enriched the lives of our young students, instilling in them the values of empathy and community involvement. We look forward to continuing our journey of making a difference together.
