We decided to use our June Holiday to deepen our understanding of the people around us by learning more about our frontline workers, the elderly, and individuals with special needs. Children from PG to K2 took part in this meaningful project, where teachers designed age-appropriate activities to support their learning. As part of the initiative, the children explored the different types of medical workers and their important roles in caring for others. To show their appreciation, they created thoughtful crafts dedicated to our healthcare heroes, which the teachers then personally delivered to the staff at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. We also introduced simple sign language that parents could follow along with at home, changing the signs weekly to encourage consistent engagement. This project not only enriched the children’s knowledge but also nurtured values such as empathy, gratitude, and inclusivity.
