SSDB 2022: Zoom Session with a Social Worker

On 11th April 2022, a Social Worker, was invited to an interview session with our Kindergarten 2 classes (Carnation & Ixora) through an online platform - Zoom. Children were encouraged to ask questions to the social worker pertaining to helping the underprivileged children and their families. Questions were constructed by the children.

The questions were as follows: -

1. What is a Social Worker?

2. How do you help people?

3. How many families need help?

4. What are some of the things families need help with?

5. The first time you met the children and their families, how do they feel?

6. What can we do to help the families or children?

Through the zoom session, the social worker was very helpful in explaining her answers with examples to gain the children’s understanding. Children listened attentively during the interview and understood the topic discussed. The Social Worker had shared very meaningful stories of her journey in helping others especially young children.
