On 11 May 2018, Skool4kidz Campus@Yishun launched our SSDB project with our K1s children. In conjuction with our theme ‘Our Green Project’, children were to discuss with ways on how they can play their part in keeping our planet green.
During one of the introduction lesson, children were to come out with their pledge on the ways they can go green. After discussing with children, they decided to go with 2 pointers which are:

“I pledge to go green by using recycle materials”

“I pledge to go green by taking care of growing things like plants and flowers.”
To promote home-school partnership, they are encouraged to bring home their ‘SSDB: My Plant’ kit where they have to grow their own vegetables such as spinach, ladyfinger, tomato and chilli plant using recycle plastic water bottle as the plant pot. They have to observe and take care of their plants for 6 weeks at home. During these 6 weeks, they have to record their observations of their plant growth in the observation record given.
