On 23 June, our JK and SK cubs had the wonderful opportunity to attend an engaging and educational talk conducted by the Singapore Food Agency (SFA). The session introduced the children to the history of Singapore’s food culture and taught them valuable lessons on food safety.
The cubs learned how Singapore’s food has evolved over the years, the importance of keeping food clean and fresh, and simple ways they can play a part in staying safe—such as washing their hands before meals, checking for expiry dates, and keeping cooked and raw food separate.
It was an eye-opening session where the cubs discovered not just what we eat, but also how we can protect ourselves and our families by practicing safe food habits every day. They left the session more aware and excited to share their new knowledge at home!
