Sharing kindness through creativity and giving

The children visited Muhajirin Mosque for a meaningful and enriching experience. The visit aimed to encourage the children to show kindness, gratitude, and appreciation to the elderly in our community.

During the visit, the children participated in craft activities together with the mosque’s senior volunteers. Sitting side by side, the children and seniors worked collaboratively to design and decorate their craft pieces. The children enjoyed interacting with the seniors, listening to their stories, asking questions, and sharing laughter. The activity created a warm and engaging space where both generations could connect through creativity.

At the end of the craft session, the children presented the crafts they created as gifts of appreciation to the senior volunteers. Each volunteer also received a handwritten bookmark, filled with heartfelt messages of thanks from the children. The thoughtful gesture visibly touched the seniors, and the moment was filled with smiles and gratitude.

To further demonstrate the value of giving, the children also brought along their own money to donate to the mosque’s donation box. This experience taught them that even the smallest act of generosity can make a meaningful difference.

Through this visit, the children learned important lessons on kindness, empathy, and respect for the elderly. It was a memorable intergenerational experience that reinforced the spirit of giving and strengthened connections within our community.
