For this year SSDB project, our K1 class decided to focus on the problem we have in our Centre that is food wastage. We observed that children did not finish their meal during lunch time. Therefore, we want to get the children to uderstand that it is not easy and time consuming to grow or harvest a plant.
We set up an area where the children can do simple planting of vegetable seeds. Children can learn about the biodiversity of plants during their DOW activities and have more understanding on the different plant habitat.
Children will get to harvest the plant and giving it to our Centre cook for preparation of their lunch.
