Our K1 students celebrated National Day with the seniors at the Senior Activity Centre - Golden Lily@Pasir Ris. This project was also in collaboration with Singapore Red Cross.
Celebrating National Day with the seniors of different races taught our little ones the importance of embracing diversity. In addition, this project encouraged positive interaction between our pupils and the elderly in our community. It was indeed a practical way to appreciate our Pioneers for their contributions by bringing laughters as both young and old celebrated the nation’s birthday.
While the pupils presented National songs to the elderly, the latter taught the former to fold the bus templates which were provided by ECDA.
Finally, the children presented the buses and some cards which they prepared in school to the elderly reminding them of some road safety rules.
It was truly a day well spent!
