My First Skool @ 51 Fernvale Link: SSDB Launch Party “Caring for Migrant Workers”

In view of the evolving Covid-19 situation, we aim to raise awareness of migrant workers around us and provide opportunities for children, parents and teachers to show care for them through different means. From the estate cleaners to the builders as well as the construction workers, migrant workers form an important part of our lives who help to build and maintain Singapore. “Caring for Migrant Workers” is our chosen theme for this year’s Start Small Dream Big project. We have also teamed up with SGcare Physiotherapy Clinic to reach out to the migrant workers through this project. Let’s take a look at our SSDB journey so far!

Our school kickstarted the SSDB project with a launch party on 29th April 2021 where the children were introduced to the SSDB mascots- Start, Small, Dream and Big. They received their SSDB packages with excitement and also wrote some heartwarming messages for the migrant workers too.

They started to pen down their hopes and words of encouragement for the migrant workers. We hope the migrant workers will continue to be healthy and safe in our country!

Stay tuned to find out about how we are going to do our part to show the migrant workers that we care and appreciate them!
