As part of the Intergenerational Programme, the K1 children of MFS @ BCC will be visiting the Zion Home for the Aged once a month. On 9th May 2018, the children celebrated Mother’s Day with the elderly for their 1st visit.
Prior to the visit, the children created flowers for the grandmas using recycled materials and also learnt a song to perform for the elderly.
The day of the visit!
At first, they were shy to talk and approach the grandmas. After encouragement from the teachers, they braved up and attempted to talk the grandmas. Children performed to the elderly a Chinese song and gave the flowers that they created. After the performance, the children helped the grandmas to bring them to their rooms:)
Children were enjoyed the visit and is excited to meet them again!
