Start Small, Dream Big: Thanking Our Community Helpers

Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) was MMI Holland very first project, and it was a meaningful and memorable experience for both the children and educators. With great excitement and enthusiasm, the children took part in a series of hands-on activities aimed at showing appreciation to our everyday heroes — our community helpers.

As part of the project, the children prepared their very own healthy snacks, learning about the importance of nutrition, hygiene, and teamwork in the process. They were proud to put effort into something special that they could share as a token of gratitude.

In addition to the snacks, the children also created personalized thank-you notes filled with heartfelt messages and colourful drawings. These were handed out to various community helpers they encountered — from cleaners and security guards to delivery workers and neighbourhood staff.

Through this SSDB project, the children not only expressed their gratitude but also developed a deeper understanding of the valuable roles community helpers play in our daily lives. It was a wonderful opportunity to cultivate kindness, empathy, and a sense of social responsibility from a young age.

We are incredibly proud of our little ones for taking their first steps in making a positive difference — starting small, dreaming big, and making their mark in the community.
