Kick Starting our Gardening Project

Following our Launch Party, children from MOE Kindergarten @ Wellington participated in several activities to learn more about the ways in which they can contribute to the environment. Let’s check out some photos of our children in action!

Collection Drive for Recycled Materials

Children learnt about the importance of ‘Reduce, Reuse and Recycle’ during the Earth Day Celebration. Thereafter, they put what they learnt into action by participating actively in the Collection Drive for Recycled Materials organised by the centre. The children looked through their homes for unwanted plastic items, metal objects, clothing, electronics and brought them to school for either donation or recycling purposes!

Going on Nature Walk

To provide authentic experiences for our children as they learn to appreciate their environment, teachers brought the children out on Nature Walk. As they enjoyed the greenery and warmth of the Sun, the children also learnt about the life cycle of plants and plant-insect interaction.

Kick starting our Gardening Project

Teacher: “Where do tomatoes come from?’

Child: “Supermarket.”

Teacher: “Let’s find out together.”

Together with the teachers, our children set up “Our Kinder Garden”!
