Kicking off the project “Water Guardians: Every Drop Counts!”, the children got into a discussion where they pondered upon the questions “Where does our water come from?” and “What happens if we waste water?” Several creative and realistic thoughts and ideas were shared among the children, sparking an exploration on the Four National Taps of Singapore!
As they found out more about the different sources of water in Singapore – local catchment, imported water, high grade reclaimed water (NEWater) and desalinated water – it led to an investigation where the children transformed into Water Detectives!
The children led a water audit in and around the school; counting the number of taps, leaking pipes and observed water usage by others.
