As part of our ongoing project, we invited elderly community members to join us for a gardening session! The children welcomed them warmly and were excited to do the gardening activity together; adding compost to the pots and changing the plants.
The elderly and children worked together in planting and caring for the seedlings, while the children listened, asked questions, and enjoyed learning from the elderly’s experiences. It was a meaningful exchange as the children gained new knowledge and patience in caring for plants, and the elderly enjoyed the children’s company, conversations and youthful energy!
