Fun Baking with a Healthy Twist

We had a special visit from one of our wonderful parents who came in to each the children how to make delicious and nutritious cookies! Using wholesome ingredients like oats, eggs, brown sugar, unsalted butter, plain flour, baking soda and a hint of salt and chocolate chips, the children learned that healthy food can still be super tasty. They had so much fun mixing, measuring and sneaking a few smells while making the dough.

What made the day even more heartwarming was seeing the children’s excitement to share their creations with their families. They talked about who they wanted to give their cookies to - mummies, daddies, siblings, or even grandparents, showing just how thoughtful and caring they are becoming. The activity was not just about healthy eating;  it was a special opportunity for the children to express love and appreciation through something they made themselves. It was a sweet (and healthy!) way to wrap up a fun learning experience that blended cooking skills, nutrition and kindness all in one.
