September 4 is was a day of double celebration in school. The children came to school full of excitement as they brought in lots of yummy treats to celebrate Teacher’s Day with their beloved teachers.
After a sumptuous Teacher’s Day breakfast generously blessed by their parents, children and teachers set off for a nature walk at West Coast Park to support REACH E-Flag Day 2025 : Walk With Me initiated by REACH Community Services as part of Singapore’s SG60 celebrations - a collective journey to walk 6,000km together in support of the Least, the Lost and the Lonely in our community. Every step walked and every dollar raised through this fundraising campaign will go towards sustaining and expanding the community services provided by REACH.
It was a great Teacher’s Day outing especially for the children as it engaged them to use all their five senses to observe and explore the park. They made so many interesting finds which include looking at their own reflection in puddles of water, exploring an unusual looking fruit on the ground, feeling the rough texture of different tree trunks, learning the difference between mushrooms and toadstools…and best of all, watching a family of otters having an “amazing race”! What a day of exploration and happy discovery!
Fun aside, the school covered 14km collectively for the “Walk With Me” REACH E-Flag Day virtual tin and raised $1188 among their families and friends via the national platform Giving.sg.
