MK@Yishun children kicked off Start Small Dream Big 2025 with an exciting launch party featuring a teacher-led skit, “The Great Singapore Vegetable Adventure,” setting the stage for a journey on food security and supporting local produce. Over 15 weeks, our little farmers explored hydroponics with their P4 buddies, planting and caring for their own vegetables. 🥬✨
The highlight of the project was the Local Farmers’ Market on 15 August. Children proudly became ambassadors of “Support Local,” selling fresh hydroponic produce alongside vegetables from Singapore’s Yili farm to parents, teachers, and staff. They confidently shared their learning and promoted local farming in a lively, meaningful event.
Through planting, selling, and learning, our young learners grew more than vegetables—they grew pride, sustainability values, and a love for supporting local communities. 💚
