As part of the Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project theme “Kind Hearts, Strong Bonds,” the Nursery 1 children took part in a heartwarming activity focused on appreciating their mothers. During a group discussion, the children shared sweet thoughts about their mums — from what they call them, what they look like, to their favourite things to do together. Their responses were compiled into a cheerful class chart titled “All About Mum.”
To extend the celebration, a parent volunteer was invited for a hands-on cookery session with the children. Together, they made butter and jam sandwiches topped with banana slices. As part of the learning, the children were introduced to the Healthier Choice logo found on the packaging of the ingredients used, helping them to become more aware of healthy eating habits from a young age.
