As part of our Start Small Dream Big initiative, our children visited St Luke’s Eldercare during Chinese New Year to bring joy and connect with the elderly in our community. During the visit, the children sang songs, played games, and presented handmade artworks to the elders. Their cheerful energy and warm gestures brightened the elders’ day, creating a heartwarming atmosphere filled with smiles and laughter.
To deepen this meaningful connection, the elders later visited our school, where they were warmly welcomed by the children. Together, they engaged in intergenerational activities such as crafts, storytelling, and sing-alongs. The children were excited to host their new friends and showed care, respect, and gratitude throughout the session.
Through these exchanges, the children learned the values of kindness, empathy, and community spirit. This experience reminded them that even small acts of care can make a big difference in touching the lives of others.
