PCF Sparkletots Preschool @ Tampines Central has embarked on the ECDA Project – Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) 2023. Our project title for this year is “Love and Care for our Rainforest”. We kicked off the programme with our Launch party last 19 June 2023. We started the event by introducing our new friends Khansa and Putra (Orangutans). Children learned about orangutans and found out that the orangutans are facing rapid decline due to deforestation, poaching, illegal pet trade, and forest fires. If there is no immediate action taken, they will be facing imminent extinction. This will lead to the risk of losing the forests and all life within them. With this programme, children learned different ways (e.g. giving donations, doing art pieces) to help the orangutans and other animals, especially in Singapore Zoo. Children showed a positive attitude in participating in the activities and pledged to do their best.Let’s help the animals! Love for nature!
