We commenced the SSDB project together with the children by brainstorming through ideas on what we can do for this project.
The Theme of the project was: Loving Our Planet, Caring for Our Animals! We decided to work on this theme with the Singapore concept in our mind. We incorporated all our ideas into a mind map. For the Theme Caring for the Animals, the children displayed their interest in working with the idea of protecting wild animals in Singapore E.g. Otter, Wild Boar, Roosters, Raffles Banded Langur and others.
For the Theme Loving Our Planet, the children wanted to work on How they can reuse, reduce and recycle and use less water and electricity to save the Planet!
We invited families to be involved in the project with their children! They were very eager to join us for the Project!
As a place that the children frequented and cherished visiting, we established that collaborating with NLB@HarbourFront Public Library was the way to go!
The children begin deciding what they would like to draw and write about their project. They were very enthusiastic about sharing their drawings and writings with their peers!
Let the journey begin! The children were excited as they would like to see their drawings being displayed at the National Library HarbourFont!
