On May 16, 2025, the long -awaited launch of the Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) 2025 project took place, marking an exciting beginning to a year filled with meaningful activities. This year’s theme centers around “Caring for our Community”, aiming to nurture compassion, responsibility, and active citizenship among young children.
To kick off the program, the teacher began by introducing what SSDB is all about- explaining that it is a nationwide initiative encouraging preschoolers to make a positive impact in their communities through simple but impactful acts of kindness. The teacher highlighted the main goal of the project, which is to foster a sense of care and social responsibility from a young age.
The children were then engaged in a discussion about the different ways they can show care for the people and environment around them. Some of the ideas included helping those in need, keeping public spaces clean, showing kindness to others, and supporting community efforts. The teacher also shared an overview of the planned activities in the coming months that will help bring these ideas to life.
To conclude the launch celebration, the teacher and students came together to take a heartfelt pledge, promising to actively participate in the project and commit to making a difference in their community-no matter how small their actions may seem. The event ended on a hopeful and inspiring note, as everyone looked forward to the journey ahead with enthusiasm and a shared sense of purpose.
