“Family is where hands join together to make life easier and hearts come together to make life sweeter.” — Unknown
As part of our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) 2025 project, the K1 and K2 children embarked on a meaningful journey under the theme “Caring For Family.” Through a fun and thoughtful roleplay activity, the children acted out family life at home — with some taking on the roles of “Mummy” and “Daddy,” while others played the sons and daughters.
Together, they prepared simple meals and drinks, set the dining table, and sat down for a family-style meal, showcasing how love and respect are shared during mealtimes. After eating, the “children” helped their “parents” by cleaning the table, washing the dishes, and wiping them dry — just like real teamwork at home!
This activity not only strengthened the children’s practical life skills but also deepened their understanding of how small acts of kindness and cooperation help build a happy family. Through roleplay, our young learners showed that caring for family starts with lending a helping hand, showing appreciation, and sharing special moments together.
Indeed, even the smallest hands can make the biggest difference at home.
