Building on the excitement of our Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) launch, our centre welcomed a group of elders from NTUC Health for a meaningful morning with our K1 children.
The children welcomed the elders with a cheerful song and dance performance. Afterwards, our elders and children enjoyed a morning stroll around the school, playing a simple eye-spy game that encouraged observation and lively conversation across the generations.
Next, everyone came together for a hands-on planting activity. The children lovingly decorated pots together with the elders, then planted seeds and watered them with care. Before saying goodbye, the children proudly handed out handmade thank-you cards, expressing their gratitude for the visit and the special memories created.
This heartwarming visit not only strengthened intergenerational bonds, but also nurtured the children’s social skills, empathy, and love for nature, showing them the joy of connecting and caring across generations.
