“Little Hands, Big Hearts: Our Children Show Kindness to the Environment!”
As part of our SSDB journey, our N2 to K2 children, together with their parents, embarked on a meaningful beach clean-up at Pasir Ris Beach. Armed with gloves and tongs, the children eagerly picked up litter, showing that even the smallest hands can make a big difference.
This experience gave our children the opportunity to see firsthand how litter affects the beach and marine life. More importantly, it nurtured in them a sense of kindness, responsibility, and respect for the environment.
It was heartwarming to witness parents and children working side by side, bonding over a shared purpose—to keep our Earth clean and safe. The children’s smiles and pride in their efforts were a reminder that caring for the environment can be both fun and meaningful.

Through this project, our little ones are taking their first steps towards building lifelong habits of caring for nature, such as disposing of waste properly, recycling, and spreading awareness to others.

During the activity, the children discovered and picked up various kinds of trash — from plastic bottles and food wrappers to other unexpected items. They were awed and amazed to see the amount and variety of garbage that could be found along the shore. This hands-on experience helped them understand how human actions directly affect nature and wildlife.
Through the project, the children learned valuable lessons about caring for the environment, teamwork, and responsibility. The joyful yet eye-opening experience instilled in them the importance of reducing waste, recycling, and maintaining clean public spaces.
