Donations from Parents
Parents were invited to play a part by donating ingredients. These are the ingredients parents contributed. We were grateful for their contributions and being role-models in promoting kindness.
1 kg of plain flour;
500g of brown, fine sugar;
1 bottle of vanilla essence;
2 blocks of butter (250g, salted);
1 tray of 10 eggs;
200g of chocolate chips;
Baking powder and salt – contributed by the centre
Children’s Engagement
For the following 2 days, children got into actions whisking and sifting away. Every child was engaged in helping with baking or making the card.
We would like to share the recipe with you.

Mix 1 cup of flour with half teaspoon of baking powder and a quarter teaspoon of salt. Set aside.

Mix half cup of butter with 3-quarter cup of brown sugar till smooth.

Add in 1 egg and 3-quarter teaspoon of vanilla essence to the above mixture and mix them well.

Add the flour mixture slowly into the egg mixture till well-mixed. Stir in the chocolate chips till it is mixed well.

Using 2 tablespoons, scoop spoonful of batter onto foiled-lined baking sheets spacing mounds 1 inch apart

Bake at 180 degree for 10 minutes.
Delivery of Love
To keep the children safe, a ‘live’ broadcast was planned whereby children got to watch the delivery of cookies in action. On 18 June, 200 cookies were delivered to Bedok Bus Interchange by Ms Wan, the Centre Leader, Mrs Sive and Mrs Yong. Children were excited to catch us ‘live’ on the computer as we walked around the bus interchange and introduced the space to them. They were equally excited to see the bus captains too.
It was a worthwhile effort to see the smiles of the bus captains! Thank you for keeping us safe on our journeys!
