Racial Harmony Day Celebration@ Haw Par Villa

On 22 July, Teachers, children and their parents visited Haw Par Villa. Our N2, K1, and K2 children participated in the ‘Racial Harmony Day’ celebration in collaboration with ‘SingaRangoli’ by Vijaya Mohan. Parents and children together made a vibrant display of community involvement. They created a mural drawing as part of the event. The children were so excited at the opportunity to colour and draw with their parents.

Parents and children actively involved in creating the mural drawing.

Parents played a pivotal role in the celebration, actively supporting and encouraging their children’s participation. They fostered a spirit of inclusivity by instilling in their children the values of acceptance, respect, and empathy towards different cultures and traditions.

K2 children performed a vibrant “Punjabi dance”, proudly donning in their traditional costumes.

Children eagerly showcased their talents and creativity through various performances, art, and cultural displays. Their enthusiastic involvement in the event showcased their appreciation for their own heritage while embracing the rich diversity of others.

In a vibrant display of cultural diversity and unity, all children adorned in traditional attire representing different cultures. Children were engaged in story telling session. Teachers organized several captivating array of traditional games played by various races.

Teachers created presentation slides showcasing the diverse traditional clothing associated with various races.

The celebration aimed at fostering a sense of appreciation for different cultures, while promoting teamwork, inclusivity, and fun among the young learners. Both parents and children’s involvement contributed to the fun and enjoyment of learning.
