Our centre has held a Kindness Carnival in our campus to commemorate Parents’ Day with the parents. They were invited to spend an afternoon with exciting games as they spend quality bonding time with their children.
Prior to this event, we requested all parents to do a craft with their children. After the craft submission, the K2 children were involved in discussion on the pricing for each craft.
The craft were put up for sale during the carnival, and the K2 children were involved in the sales, including collection of money as a form of donations.
This is the 3rd year we are working with Bright Hill Evergreen Home, and this year we have received a donation of $1170 from the sales for the craft made by parents and children.
The SSDB project ended with a visit to the home to present the donation, and the children had prepared some activities and performances for the old folks.
