This year our Nursery children @ Bukit Batok East Blk 241 (KN) embarked on ‘Go green’ program for the Start Small Dream Big (SSDB) project.
‘Go green’ means to pursue knowledge and practices that can be lead to more environmentally friendly and ecologically responsible decisions and which can help protect the environment and sustain its natural resources.
Thus the little tots engaged themselves to grow plants using the recycled pet bottles for their school garden ‘Garden by the tots’.
They created the poster ‘Go green’ by printing their palms as leaves and invited parents to play their part too.
The parents were welcomed by our Principal Mdm Sim and were briefed about the project.
The parents of the children created perfect pots for planting using the recycled plastic pet bottles with the assistance of the teachers.
The children enthralled themselves by adding the soil in the recycled pot.
They took pride in planting the plants along with their parents.
They also enchanced their knowledge that the plants need water, air and sunlight along with the soil. They happily rejoiced watering the plants.
Kudos to the little tots for their great work and our sincere thanks to the most wonderful parents for their great involvement and participation. Our little tots ‘Go green’ comes alive.
