Part 4: Making Fruit Wraps for Both Parents

Continuing our SSDB journey under the theme “Together for Tomorrow, Empowering Young Hearts,” the children took part in another meaningful activity — preparing healthy and delicious fruit wraps as a token of love and appreciation for both parents.

Using fresh fruits like blueberries strawberries, kiwis, the children worked together in small groups to assemble their fruit wraps. Under the guidance of their teachers, they learned to wash, peel, slice, and arrange the fruits neatly on wholemeal wraps. Some children got creative by arranging the fruits into fun shapes and patterns before carefully rolling the wraps.

This hands-on activity was not only enjoyable but also educational. It introduced the children to concepts of healthy eating, hygiene, and food preparation. They also practiced fine motor skills through cutting and assembling, and built on their understanding of sequence and order by following step-by-step instructions.

The smiles on their faces as they proudly packed the wraps into small boxes were priceless. Each wrap was accompanied by a handmade note or drawing, adding a personal touch to their gift.

Through this activity, the children learned that even simple gestures can carry deep meaning when done with love and thoughtfulness. It was a beautiful way to celebrate family bonds while encouraging healthy habits and kindness.
