Part 3: A Thoughtful Gift for Fathers

Continuing with our SSDB project under the theme “Together for Tomorrow, Empowering Young Hearts,” the children prepared a special surprise for their fathers — handmade bath bombs made from simple, home-friendly ingredients.

Using everyday items such as cornstarch, bicarbonate of soda, and citric acid, the children worked together to create these relaxing bath bombs. Under the teachers’ guidance, they carefully measured, scooped, and mixed the ingredients, then placed the mixture into molds to take shape.

As with any handmade activity, there were a few challenges along the way. Not every bath bomb was successful on the first try — some crumbled or didn’t hold their shape. However, the children showed great perseverance and resilience, choosing to try again rather than give up. Their determination paid off, and they were proud of their final creations.

Through this activity, the children not only made heartfelt gifts for their fathers but also learned important skills such as counting, measuring, and following steps in sequence — all while having fun and showing appreciation for the father figures in their lives
