As part of our SSDB project and in line with the theme “Together for Tomorrow, Empowering Young Hearts”, we dedicated a special activity to appreciate the mothers in our children’s lives. While we had originally planned simple appreciation crafts, the children went a step further to create something even more meaningful — handmade soaps for their mothers.
Under the careful guidance of their teachers, the children took part in the soap-making process from start to finish. They began by cutting the soap base into small pieces, then watched with excitement as it melted. With great enthusiasm, the children chose their favorite mica powder colors and added fragrance oils to create beautifully scented and colorful soaps. Each child poured their unique mixture into molds and waited eagerly for it to set.
This hands-on experience not only allowed the children to express their creativity but also deepened their appreciation for their mothers through the effort and thoughtfulness put into their handmade gifts. The end result was a heartfelt token that reflected love, care, and gratitude — values we continue to instill as part of our SSDB journey.
