Today, our K2 children participated in a truly special and heartwarming program designed to cultivate kindness, empathy, and understanding towards individuals who are blind and deaf. It was not just a lesson; it was an immersive experience crafted to help little ones appreciate the diverse ways people interact with the world.
The session began with engaging games and activities that transformed complex concepts into accessible, hands-on learning. Children were introduced to the basics of sign language, learning key phrases and gestures that opened up a new form of communication. This was not just about memorizing signs; it was about understanding the beauty and importance of non-verbal expression.
Beyond sign language, they had the unique opportunity to experience the world from different perspectives. To beautifully conclude the program, children were given the creative freedom to decorate their own eye masks. This artistic activity served as a powerful tool for reflection.
