After introducing the community garden and setting up a mini garden in the classroom, we continue to instil gardening interests to the children by asking them to creat a paper plate flower with the construction paper, magazine and foam fruit wrapper. During the activity, the children learn about the parts of a flower đˇ and their functions. They were given the materials to cut and design their own unique flower. Once they have completed their artwork, they use it as a prop to sing and do the actions for the song âGrow, grow, grow a gardenâ. The children were excited to present their performance to the class.Â
