The purpose of this gardening project is to promote recycling to the children and their families. Thus, the parents were asked to bring a plastic bottle from home for their children to do planting in school. The teacher cut the plastic bottles into different types of animals (e.g. rabbit, cat and dog) for the children to do painting on it. The children were all excited to participate in this activity, they were able to paint and design their own plastic bottle. The children were also given cotton wool, red and green bean seeds to do their planting with plastic bottles. They were also given water spray bottle to water their plants. Through this activity, the children were aware that we can use recycling materials such as plastic bottles, plastic containers, and cans to do planting.Â
