During the Earth Day celebration, the children came to school with outfits that were made by them and their parents using recycled materials.
A week before the celebrations, we placed a box full of recycled materials for parents to take and use it for the outfit making.
They had a show and tell of their outfits and what they were made of in front of their peers. This helps them to learn that they can actually reuse recycled materials as something useable instead of throwing them away. The children had fun and were proud of their creations.
