Through Earth Hour, children practiced switching off lights and conserving water as a way of caring for our planet.
This activity was designed to raise their awareness of how simple daily actions can make a big difference to the Earth. By actively turning off lights in the classroom and learning to use only the water they needed, children developed early habits of energy and water conservation.
Teachers guided discussions about why these actions matter, linking them to protecting animals, plants, and people who share the same environment. This hands-on experience helped children understand that caring for the planet is not only something adults do, but something they too can contribute to through small but meaningful steps.
