We wrapped up our SSDB Animal Conservation campaign with a meaningful Closing Activity on 25 July, bringing together all the learning, awareness, and empathy our children had built over the weeks.
The session began with a powerful video presentation showing the challenges animals face in the wild, such as pollution, deforestation, and poaching, and how their survival is essential to maintaining the Earth’s ecological balance. These visual stories sparked heartfelt conversations, helping the children understand why protecting animals is not just important, but necessary.
To uplift the mood and reinforce a hopeful message, the children sang and danced along to the heartfelt song “Give Animals A Home”, expressing their support for wildlife through joyful movement.
The activities were then tailored to suit different age groups:
🐾 Our younger children engaged in a fun and meaningful habitat-matching game, where they matched animals to their appropriate and safe homes using picture cards. This is an activity that sharpened their observation skills while reinforcing the concept of safe environments.
🎨 Meanwhile, our older children were read the thoughtful book “The Earth Cries”, which offered a deeper reflection on the impact of human actions. After the reading, they shared their ideas through drawings on how they can protect wild animals, showcasing both creativity and compassion.
The session brought our campaign full circle, reminding children that even after the activities end, their actions and voices still matter in protecting the animals they’ve come to care so much about.
