Children were engaged in simple upcycling activities that encouraged creativity and care for the environment. There were upcycled soft handkerchiefs made using old clothes, upcycled colourful bangles using strips of old clothes and toilet paper rolls as the base, upcycled tote bag made with old clothes etc. This hands-on activities allowed them to explore textures and learn about sustainability!
Thereafter, to provide opportunities for our children to develop values such as kindness, responsibility and care, we organised a Charity Drive featuring children’s upcycled artwork made from reused and recycled materials to raise funds for the families in need. Children proudly showcased their creative masterpieces which were available for purchase. All proceeds went to a selected charity helping our children understand the importance of giving back to the community as well!
