As part of our theme “Caring for Our Planet, Celebrating with Our Seniors,” the children engaged in a meaningful project that combined sustainability and kindness. They repotted various plants using repurposed plastic cups, filled with soil made from our own compost. Over the next few months, the children diligently cared for their plants, learning about responsibility and the importance of nurturing nature.
In addition, the children created heartfelt cards with messages for the seniors, sharing simple tips on how to care for the plants and expressing their appreciation. During our visit to the elderly day care, the children presented their plants and cards to the seniors, encouraging them to continue growing and caring for the plants. This thoughtful exchange not only nurtured the environment but also built a beautiful connection between the young and the elderly through shared care and love for nature.
