Basic Bandaging with Singapore Red Cross

We are thrilled to be partnering with the Singapore Red Cross for an engaging Basic Bandaging Workshop today. We believe that children need to be equipped with the knowledge and understanding of the importance of first aid as it empowers children with essential life skills from an early age.

The session began with a presentation by Teacher Rina, where children learned about first aid essentials and took part in fun numeracy activities linked to the theme.

The Red Cross team then took the stage, introducing themselves and shared interesting facts about the importance of first aid. Next, the children watched videos on basic bandaging and met the beloved mascot, Carrie, who helped demonstrated the steps for a simple hand bandage by Mr Han. The children also had the opportunity to practise their bandaging skills with their peers and teachers.

It was a heartwarming sight to see parents joining in, learning and practising bandaging techniques with their children. Parental involvement during the bandaging session added great value to the children’s learning experience. As parents participated alongside their children, it created meaningful bonding moments while reinforcing key first aid concepts. This shared experience not only boosted the children’s confidence but also encouraged a stronger partnership between school and home in nurturing essential life skills.

The event ended on a cheerful note with a lively photo session, capturing joyful moments and memories to treasure! This partnership with Singapore Red Cross plays a vital role in enriching our children’s learning journey. Through this collaboration, children gain hands-on exposure to basic first aid in a safe and engaging way, empowering them with life-saving knowledge and skills. In addition, it strengthens our commitment to holistic education by connecting classroom learning with real-world applications, while fostering community partnerships that support the well-being and development of every child.
