A Racial Harmony with MK@Frontier: Racial Fiesta!

During the actual event, the children were brought around the school to familiarize themselves with the different booths. They were introduced to the different traditional costumes!

Games Booth

Children together with their mummies, daddies and teachers played traditional games such as chapteh, goli, top and hopscotch! Game cards were made to make it more exciting!

Musical Booth

There was a booth that had musical instruments that are from different cultures. For example, the dhol for the Indian culture, kompang for the Malay culture and Chinese drums from the Chinese culture.

Chinese Cultural Booth

This is the home setting that was created by our Chinese cultural group.

Children were given opportunities with paper cutting and calligraphy.

Indian Cultural Booth

This is the home setting created by our Indian cultural group.

Children were able to choose from either putting henna on their hand or drawing henna designs on paper hands.

Malay Cultural Booth

This is the home setting created by our Malay cultural group.

For this booth, there were batik designs on a cloth and children painted them.

Redemption Booth

There was a redemption booth for them to claim their prizes after they had completed the game cards. They redeemed gifts from the olden times such as tops, snakes and ladders etc.

Food Booth

We had a variety of food from different cultures such as lontong, mango lassi and tang yuan! Our children had fun tasting all the different cultural food and drinks!
