As part of our Start Small Dream Big project, the children of Greenland Childcare @ Kallang embarked on a meaningful journey to show care for both their environment and their community.
Wearing their bright orange SSDB hats, the children began by cleaning up the neighbourhood playground, picking up litter and learning about the importance of keeping our surroundings clean. With encouragement from their teachers, they worked together cheerfully, showing teamwork, care, and responsibility.
The children then extended their kindness beyond school by visiting the nearby hawker centre to express appreciation to the hardworking cleaners. They offered small tokens of gratitude and shared bright smiles that warmed everyoneâs hearts.
In another heartfelt experience, the children visited TOUCH Community, where they presented a lively performance to bring joy to the elderly residents. Their cheerful music filled the room with laughter and love. The visit ended with a donation presentation, as the children handed over contributions gathered from a school charity drive, showing that helping others can come from both big and small hearts.
Through these experiences, the children learned that every kind actâwhether picking up litter or sharing with othersâmakes the world a better place. đđ
